Fire occurrences represent the ignition points (preferred), the polygon centroids, or more generalized locations (least desirable) when the ignition points are not known or not available. This dataset includes occurrences that are ignited naturally (e.g., lightning) or by humans (including prescribed fires). Fires determined to be false alarms are excluded. |
